Finding your driver at SJJ
Sarajevo International Airport is a single-terminal airport. Here is the step-by-step.
Exit the aircraft
SJJ uses jet bridges for most flights. Follow signs to passport control on the ground floor.
Passport control
EU/EEA citizens and many nationalities enter visa-free. Lines are usually short — 5 to 15 minutes.
Baggage claim
One main carousel. Bags from European flights typically arrive within 10-20 minutes of landing.
Walk through arrivals
Pass through the customs green channel. Your driver is standing directly outside the doors with your name on a sign. You cannot miss them.

After your flight lands
The evening before your scheduled pickup, you receive a WhatsApp message with your driver's name and phone number. The driver messages you again 30 to 60 minutes before your scheduled landing to confirm they are en route. This is not a taxi-app dispatch; the same driver is assigned to your transfer from the moment of booking.
If you do not yet have a working SIM or roaming when you land, do not try to call. SJJ arrivals has free airport WiFi — connect, send a WhatsApp message, walk through the customs doors. We are tracking your flight regardless of whether you message us.
If something goes wrong
Lost or delayed baggage at SJJ baggage claim is the most common arrival hiccup. From inside the baggage hall, message the driver — wait time over the standard 60 minutes is free up to roughly 90 minutes for known luggage delays. Beyond that we negotiate by message; you will not be left stranded.
If for any reason you cannot find your driver after walking through arrivals, the WhatsApp message is the fastest fix. Worst case, message the office line and we voice-call the driver while you wait. SJJ is a small terminal — visual reconnect happens within minutes.
Child seats & family transfers
Child seats are free on every transfer — rear-facing infant (under 9-12 months), forward-facing toddler (1-4), or booster (4-10). Tell us at booking which type and which size; 24+ hours notice is ideal so we equip the vehicle correctly.
Two child seats plus two adults fit a sedan comfortably. Three or more car seats — common with families of four or more — need a minivan. The reason is space: the seats themselves are bulky, and rear-facing infant seats reduce front passenger leg room significantly. We move you to the larger vehicle at no penalty if you have flagged the requirement at booking.
Ski bags, boards, and odd-shaped cargo
Skis, snowboards, poles, helmets, and gear bags travel free on every transfer. A standard sedan boot fits 2 to 3 sets of ski equipment plus normal luggage. Four-plus skiers with full gear plus suitcases need a minivan — there is no realistic way to fit four sets of ski gear plus four overnight bags in a sedan.
Snowboards are bulkier per unit than skis — a group of four snowboarders needs the minivan even with light luggage. Other oversize items (bicycles, instruments, fishing gear) we handle case-by-case; flag at booking with rough dimensions and we tell you which vehicle works.

Airport transfer FAQ
Your driver waits in the arrivals hall, on the public side of the customs exit, holding a board with your name. SJJ has a single passenger terminal so there is no wrong place to look. If for any reason you cannot find them, WhatsApp +387 (driver number sent the day before) — we are usually within line of sight.
Driver name and phone are sent by WhatsApp the evening before your scheduled pickup, typically between 18:00 and 21:00 local time. If your flight is the same day as booking, you get the contact within 30 minutes of confirmation. The driver also messages you 30-60 minutes before landing to confirm they are on their way.
You do not need to. The driver is already there with your name on a board; finding them is the priority, not calling. SJJ arrivals has free WiFi if you need to send a WhatsApp message — connect to the airport network, send "I am out" to your driver number, and walk through the customs doors. We track flights, so we know you have landed regardless.
We track every flight in real time. If your aircraft is delayed by 30 minutes or three hours, the driver adjusts automatically. The 60-minute free waiting window starts at actual landing, not scheduled landing. Long delays (4+ hours) we sometimes split between two drivers if shifts change, but the meet-and-greet handover is invisible to you — the second driver shows up with your name on the board the same way.

15 to 25 minutes from wheels-down to walking out the customs doors is normal for a non-Schengen flight. EU/Schengen flights run faster — sometimes 10 minutes total. Heavy arrival waves (multiple flights landing at once) can push it to 35 minutes. Our 60-minute free wait is built around the slow-day reality.
Operationally no — we run 24/7. Practically yes: between 22:00 and 06:00 the SJJ taxi rank thins out and the airport feels quieter, but our driver is there exactly the same way, name board out, walking you to the vehicle. A modest 15% night surcharge applies to flights arriving or departing in that window because driver time-off-shift premiums apply. Tell us if you have a flight before 06:00 — we coordinate the morning pickup the night before by WhatsApp.

Yes, return is the same meet-and-greet quality. We pick you up at the hotel or apartment door at the time you specify, factoring in standard 2-2.5 hour pre-flight buffer for international departures from SJJ. Booking both directions saves 5% on the return leg. We can also do split-direction bookings (e.g., SJJ to Sarajevo on day 1, Mostar to SJJ a week later).
Yes. Card via Monri payment online at booking time (Visa, Mastercard), or cash to the driver in EUR or BAM. Cash payment gets a small discount.
